Victoria and Thomas wedding at Villa Medicea di Lilliano

Florence provided the perfect setting for a wedding that brought together two cultures, two backgrounds, and one beautiful story. Over the course of two days, the couple welcomed their guests with a relaxed evening in the heart of the city before celebrating their wedding at the historic Villa Medicea di Lilliano, overlooking Florence.

THE WELCOME EVENT

The weekend began at The Hoxton Florence, where an intimate welcome event was designed around the idea of “East meets West” — a subtle reflection of the couple’s origins and the cultures coming together through their marriage. An Italian buffet, soft background music, and a relaxed atmosphere created an effortless evening for guests to meet, reconnect, and enjoy the beginning of the celebrations.

THE WEDDING DAY!

The following day, the setting changed completely as everyone gathered at Villa Medicea di Lilliano. Guests were welcomed in the beautiful courtyard to the sound of live violinists before making their way onto the terrace, where Florence became the backdrop for the ceremony.

For the occasion, the terrace was transformed with elegant floral compositions in white, green, soft pink and deep burgundy. Flowers arranged on classical columns and displayed in beautiful vases framed the ceremony, creating a romantic yet sophisticated setting that perfectly complemented the architecture of the villa.

After the ceremony, guests made their way to the main garden for cocktails, where the elegant burgundy palette continued through the floral arrangements and carefully curated details. The relaxed outdoor setting offered the perfect transition between the ceremony and the evening ahead, allowing guests to enjoy drinks and conversation surrounded by the beauty of the villa.

Dinner followed in the garden, with the styling becoming richer and more layered. The tables were dressed in a refined palette of burgundy, green, and soft pink tones, combining abundant floral arrangements with lush greenery, seasonal fruit, and vegetables. Rather than relying solely on flowers, the table design incorporated natural produce as decorative elements, adding texture, colour, and unexpected details to the arrangements while creating a more dimensional and organic look.

The real statement of the dinner, however, was the central table. A long, flowing drape extended from the table and fell gracefully behind it, creating an almost train-like effect that added movement and drama to the setting. This distinctive detail elevated the entire look of the dinner, turning the central table into a true focal point of the evening.

Everything was carefully considered to create an elegant and cohesive atmosphere, from the floral styling to the smallest table details, while allowing the historic villa and the beauty of the Tuscan landscape to remain at the centre of the experience.

One of the evening’s most memorable moments came with the millefoglie, prepared live in front of the guests — a beautifully Italian finale to dinner and a moment that brought everyone together around something simple, traditional, and delicious.

As the evening continued, guests moved inside to the ballroom, where trays of espresso martinis welcomed them onto the dance floor. From that moment, the formal elegance of the day gave way to a night of music, cocktails, and celebration that carried on until late.

A wedding weekend shaped by contrast: the relaxed energy of a Florentine welcome, the timeless beauty of a Medici villa, and a celebration where East and West came together naturally, through thoughtful design, Italian traditions, and the people who mattered most.

More than words…

“We wanted to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for bringing our vision to life. From the beautiful East Meets West event, to bringing our friends and families together on the Saturday, and even helping us pull off the Sunday party (well beyond your remit), you made everything happen so seamlessly. The food, the drinks, the flowers, the bar setup, the DJ, the tablescape (!!), every single detail was perfect. Thank you for all your wonderful recommendations, advice, and guidance that helped make our wedding everything we had hoped for and more.

We feel incredibly lucky to have had you by our side throughout the whole process. From day one, you took so much of the stress away, allowing us to actually enjoy planning our wedding instead of worrying about it. Thank you for your endless patience as we changed our minds, asked countless questions, and came back with new ideas and requests right up until the very last minute. We know we weren’t always the easiest clients, but you never missed a beat. You listened, adapted, reassured us, and somehow made everything happen.

Having now attended another wedding in Italy with different planners, we can honestly say just how exceptional you both are. It made us appreciate even more the level of care, professionalism, organisation, and attention to detail you brought to every aspect of our wedding. You truly are incredible, and we couldn’t have imagined doing this with anyone else.

Thank you again for everything you did to make one of the happiest weekends of our lives so unforgettable. We will always be grateful for your talents! Love you lots!!

With so much gratitude,

Vic & Tom ❤️”
