Christina & Mark’s Wedding at Conti di San Bonifacio
When Christina and Mark, a sweet German couple deeply in love with Italy, decided to celebrate their destination wedding in Tuscany, they dreamed of a weekend filled with beauty, great food, and heartfelt moments. Their chosen venue, the breathtaking Conti di San Bonifacio, became the perfect setting for three days of celebrations, emotions, and unforgettable memories.
Day 1 — A Warm Welcome Under the Tuscan Sky
We kicked off the wedding celebrations with a relaxed welcome event in the venue’s garden. Guests arrived after their travels and were immediately greeted by the cozy atmosphere of a Italian evening: traditional Tuscan dishes, a live pizza station, good wine, lots of laughter and a nice sunset.
We decided to decorate the tables with fruit-and-vegetable centerpieces in peach and soft orange shades — modern, colorful, and still wonderfully romantic.
Despite being “just” the welcome night, the energy was incredible. Guests sang, danced, and stayed up late under the stars. The perfect beginning to a weekend full of joy.
Day 2 - The Wedding Day!
Since Christina and Mark wanted to make the most of the day, we planned a morning ceremony rather than the usual afternoon one.
The day began with Christina getting ready at Conti di San Bonifacio alongside her two closest friends, champagne in hand. Meanwhile, Mark prepared with his group of friends — beers, music, and lots of good vibes to set the mood.
The Ceremony at Massa Marittima
Guests were then transferred to the magnificent Cathedral of San Cerbone in Massa Marittima — one of the most stunning churches in the area. We kept the décor simple and elegant to let the architecture speak for itself: a touch of white florals on the altar, many candles along the aisle, a string trio playing live, perfectly amplifying the emotional atmosphere. After the “I do,” the couple exited the church greeted not by the usual rice, but by bubbles — a magical, photogenic, and always delightful alternative.
A Tuscan Light Lunch
Right in front of the cathedral, a charming bistro hosted the light lunch. With a view of the church and a relaxed, joyful environment, guests enjoyed mini burgers, schiacciata, caprese, and fresh local treats.
For décor, we switched to a more playful palette: yellow florals and lemons and printed blue-and-yellow tablecloths. A cheerful contrast to the neutral tones of the wedding dinner.
While guests returned to their hotels to rest, the couple and their families went back to the villa to relax — and even took a moment to enjoy the pool before the festivities continued.
In the late afternoon, shuttles brought everyone back to Conti di San Bonifacio for the aperitivo on the panoramic terrace by the pool. With spritzes in hand, guests mingled and enjoyed the lively performance of a roaming band, one of the most fun options for social and interactive entertainment. They moved naturally between guests, encouraging dancing, singing, and pure enjoyment.
The band later guided guests from the aperitivo area to the dinner setup in front of the villa.
Instead of a traditional seating chart, each guest received a mini bottle of limoncello with their name and table assignment — a useful escort card and a sweet keepsake.
But the most touching detail?
Every guest found at their seat a personal handwritten letter from the couple, along with a printed photo of themselves with the bride and groom. A gesture that moved everyone and made the dinner feel intimate and heartfelt.
The tables were decorated with a modern, romantic all-white palette: calla lilies, hydrangeas, elegant candles
The roaming band performed between courses, and many guests got up to dance — a sure sign of a great dinner!
After dinner, Christina and Mark cut a traditional Italian millefoglie, and then the real party began.
A DJ and saxophonist duo kept the dance floor alive until early morning — a celebration no one will forget.
Day 3 — Pool Party
Despite little sleep, everyone was ready for the final event: a pool party brunch. The florist reused flowers from the previous day to create fresh, new arrangements — a smart, sustainable, and cost-effective idea that still looked absolutely beautiful. This was the moment when the atmosphere became totally relaxed: no more formalities, just sunshine, music, dancing in the pool, and the sweetest way to end an unforgettable wedding weekend.
Christina and Mark’s wedding at Conti di San Bonifacio was everything a destination wedding should be: joyful, emotional, beautifully curated, and deeply personal.
From the welcome night to the church ceremony, from heartfelt details to the wild late-night dancing, every moment reflected their love story and the warmth of their guests.
